Affiliate Disclosure

Last updated: April 28, 2026

The Short Version

HomeRunGifts.com makes money through affiliate commissions. When you click a product link in one of our gift guides and make a purchase, the retailer pays us a small commission at no extra cost to you. We are independent — no brand pays us to write a positive review, and our editorial decisions are made independently of any commercial relationship.

Programs We Participate In

HomeRunGifts.com is a participant in the following affiliate programs:

  • Amazon Services LLC Associates Program — an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com.
  • Etsy Affiliate Program — we may earn commissions on qualifying purchases of handmade and personalized gifts on Etsy.
  • Other direct retailer affiliate programs — for some specialty gifts, we link to a brand or retailer through their own affiliate program.

As an Amazon Associate, we earn from qualifying purchases. The price you pay is the same whether you click an affiliate link on this site or visit Amazon directly.

How We Identify Affiliate Links

Articles that contain affiliate links carry a brief disclosure near the top of the page so you know before you click. We do not disguise affiliate links — they go to recognizable retailer pages (Amazon, Etsy, brand websites). We do not use deceptive cloaking domains.

How We Pick Gifts

Our editorial process is described in detail on our Editorial Standards page. The short version:

  • Gifts are chosen based on whether they’re a good fit for the recipient — not based on commission rates.
  • We do not accept payment to include a gift in a guide.
  • Authors who have direct experience with a gift category (e.g., grandmas writing for grandmas, students writing for students) are assigned where possible.
  • If a gift is overpriced, low quality, or a poor fit, we leave it off the list — even if it would earn us a commission.

Prices Shown on This Site

Prices in our gift guides reflect the price at the time we wrote or last reviewed the article. Retailer prices change frequently, so the current price on Amazon, Etsy, or another site may be different. Always check the live price on the retailer’s page before buying.

FTC Compliance

This disclosure is provided in accordance with the U.S. Federal Trade Commission’s 16 CFR Part 255: “Guides Concerning the Use of Endorsements and Testimonials in Advertising.” We aim to be clear and conspicuous about every commercial relationship that affects our content.
